ND Winter Sleepout 2018

The air is getting brisker, car windscreens are getting icier, and the line at the coffee shop in the first class break is longer than ever. Winter is coming (again).

NDSLS is once again running the Youth off the Streets Winter Sleepout, so get excited! Joining forces with the Annual Winter Appeal and the ND Social Justice Society, this year the event will be better than ever. We will be kicking things off at 7pm with an hour and a half program looking at homelessness in the community and ways we can engage and help out. (Even if you can't stay the night, you are welcome to come along for the educational program).

We'll be finishing the Sleepout with a BBQ breakfast the next morning.

Our fundraising goal for this year is $500, with all proceeds going to Youth off the Streets. The best way to donate is through the funsdraising page You can also give cash donations on the night.

Our suggested donation per person is $10, which can help provide a young person on the street with a hot meal from the Youth off the Streets Food Van.

$40 can help provide a bed in a crisis refuge so that a young person can be off the street and in a safe environment.

$50 can help provide educational materials from a young person attending high school

$100 can help provide clothes and shoes for a young person so that they can stay warm and well during winter.

What to bring: Warm clothes, a scarf, beanie and/or gloves, a sleeping bag and a pillow if required.

See you there!
