The Notre Dame Sydney Law Society (NDSLS) is one of the youngest and most unique student law societies in Australia and is the peak representative body for all law students at the University of Notre Dame Australia. Since our inception, the NDSLS has formed an integral part of the student experience at Notre Dame by providing a platform of opportunities for students to involve themselves, including skills-building workshops, professional development, social events, publications, and internal competitions. As President, I am honoured to represent this talented and driven cohort of individuals, each with their own diverse backgrounds, aspirations and ambitions.
In the Good Universities Guide (2018), Notre Dame received a five-star rating for more than half of the fourteen categories, notably including skills development, teaching quality, learner engagement and student support. These exemplary results are undeniably a product of the exceptional quality of students enrolled in Notre Dame and provides the NDSLS with an ideal platform to forge strong relationships between sponsors and this pool of extraordinary law students.
In 2019, our objective is to strengthen the existing foundations of the NDSLS and foster further growth as it is our vision to enrich each and every aspect of the university experience for all students. We are striving to build on our supportive culture, continue to embrace a passion for learning and implement opportunities tailored towards equipping our students with the strongest foundation possible to face the demands of the ever-changing legal landscape.
The NDSLS is undeniably a dynamic law student society and a buzzing hub of innovative and unique opportunities for all our members. We welcome and encourage all involvement with the NDSLS as we appreciate the wealth of value that external organisations bring to the society. Through the support of the Notre Dame Law community, sponsors and students, we are excited for the year ahead and look forward to introducing new and exciting initiatives to the Notre Dame community.
