Instagram competition Terms and Conditions

  1. The competition is open to current Notre Dame Sydney Law Students only to the exclusion of the Communications and Executive Directors of the the Law Society.

  2. To enter this competition you must; follow the Notre Dame Sydney Law Society on Instagram, tag a Notre Dame Student (not required to be a law student) in the Instagram post about this competition and subscribe to The Weekly.

  3. All three steps must be satisfied in order to be eligible for this prize. The completion of these steps will constitute one entry. If you are already following the Instagram page and are subscribed to The Weekly you may tag a friend to be eligible for this prize.

  4. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

  5. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  6. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be counted as one entry.

  7. Closing date for entry will be 12.00pm Monday 12th March. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

  8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

  9. We reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Law Society’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Law Society.

  10. The Law Society is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

  11. The prize package is as follows:

    1. Three $50 vouchers for Broadway Crown (valued at $150), a free ticket to the 2018 Law Cruise (valued at $75), an Oral- B Bluetooth toothbrush (valued at $200), lunch for two including beers from Upside Café and two free cocktails from the cocktail wheel of fortune at Knox St Bar.

    2. The prize package will be awarded to one person only. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

  12. Winners will be chosen at random by software, from all entries received and verified by The Law Society and or its agents.

  13. The winner will be notified by email and/or Direct Message on Twitter/Facebook/Instagram and/or letter within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

  14. The Law Society’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  15. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by the law of New South Wales.

  16. Any personal information collected from entrants for the purposes of this prize draw will be managed in accordance with applicable privacy laws including the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
